We have been in business for over 40 years
What is your primary product or service?
We are a full service bicycle shop selling bicycles and accessories. We have very extensive repair and service facilities.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Matt Assenmacher trained at the Internationally known Bob Jackson Cycles in Leeds, England in the early 1970's. Under the guidance of master frame builder Dan Foster he learned the traditional English frame building skills and design practices.
In 1973, the original Assenmacher bicycle frame shop was set up in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. In 1978 the frame shop was moved to Swartz Creek, Michigan and a full service retail bicycle shop was added. Today we offer an extensive retail and repair shop featuring Trek and Specialized bicycles as well as a custom frame shop where we can repair, renovated, and paint your frame to the highest standards. You will find us to be knowledgeable, friendly and ready to help you in any aspect of bicycling.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We handle both the Trek and Specialized brand of bicycles. These are the two leading quality bicycle brands in the United States.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We currently have two locations, one in downtown Swartz Creek and one on Hill Rd. in Mundy township.
